Sustainable Construction: Self Build
With our experience and expertise we have something to offer anyone embarking upon their exciting self build project – from assisting purely with the submission of planning applications and consultancy to the provision of a complete design and build service (down to the very last nail). We can work with you from initial concept to handover – from a modest extension to a ‘grand design’.
Our services are tailored to your requirements, allowing you to have as much (or as little) involvement in the specification, design and construction process as you would like. If you need assistance at the planning stage, our chartered architect will work with you providing you with specialist, professional advice to ensure that sustainability is built into the project from the very beginning and advising you on the best construction methods for your circumstances.
Once you have received your planning permission we can commence with the structural calculations and design of your build. We will prepare the build programme and provide you with detailed costings of our supply package. Our experienced team will give you guidance on the other elements of your self build, eg foundations/scaffolding/roof tiling.
Each self build package is unique, but will typically include structural calculations for all building elements, preparation of construction drawings for submission to Building Control/NHBC, supply and erection of all of the elements of the timber superstructure and supply and installation of insulation and the vapour control layer. We will liaise closely with your local trades to ensure completion and hand over is on time and within budget.
